Her feet were not bound as were those of many other 12 year old girls in China in the mid 19th century, and she has green silk slippers with pink floral motifs on platforms. She wears this costume that her mother made before she died as she walked across China to the Sung household as an orphan where she was teased about the size of her feet until they saved the family. The preowned set is missing its display container, but the doll is in near mint condition and the book is near mint except for a crinkle at the bottom of the front cover, and can be easily enjoyed free of the restrictive case.
