Hard Cover Book, 'Raggedy Ann in Cookie Land', written and Illustrated by Johnny Gruelle, The Bobbs-Merrill Co., Inc., Copyright 1931, printed in 1960, and has 95 pages. This book's story is about the Raggedy dolls, who fall in a hole and hit the bottom without damage because of their cotton-stuffed bodies. Then they discover they are in an ice grotto from which they escape to Cookie Land which is a lovely place that fills Raggedy Ann's candy heart with joy. Hookie, the mean goblin creates problems for Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy and their new friends until there is a last-minute rescue. The dolls and toys come to life whenever Marcella and her family are away or asleep. The book includes wonderful original color and black-and-white drawings as were in the original editions. Pre-owned, excellent, has all pages and cover, is tightly bound.
